Earth Coupling - Connecting Smart Geothermal Equipment to the Earth Smart Geothermal systems use the earth as a heat and cooling source to and from your home or building, temperature exchangers (ground loops) are installed in the ground. These consist of high density polyethylene pipes. The loops are then connected to the Smart Geothermal pump and fluid is circulated through the ground loops transferring the temperature between the earth and the Smart Geothermal equipment via a pump. So in the winter the heat is drawn in from the earth's temperature to heat your home or commercial property and in the summer the cooler earth draws in the heat from your home or commercial property. Well Water - Connecting Smart Geothermal Equipment to the Water in the Earth Smart Geothermal systems can also use the earth's water temperature as a heat and cooling source to and from your home or building. The well water is pumped up into the Smart Geothermal System transferring the temperature between the earth's water and the Smart Geothermal equipment then pumped back into the well. So in the winter the heat is drawn in from the earth's water temperature to heat your home or commercial property and in the summer the cooler earth draws in the heat from your home or commercial property. This is done without harming the water or adding anything to the water. It is simply a method that uses the temperature of the water instead of using the temperature of the air like conventional systems currently do. At a certain depth the earth's water is a steady 52 degree's which allows your Smart Geothermal System to always have a starting point of 52 degree's to heat or cool from. Conventional systems have a temperature starting point that varies depending on the temperature of air outside. So, if it is really hot or really cold, conventional systems have to work really hard.
